The Easel is no longer accepting submissions.
Would you like your work to be featured on The Easel.com? We currently accept submissions of artwork, poetry, and prose for our website. Absolutely anyone can submit to The Easel, as long as you follow these guidlines:
E-mail Submissions
The prefered method of submission for The Easel is through e-mail. Please send your submission, along with your name and e-mail address, to the corresponding e-mail address. Plagarism is not acceptable.
At The Easel, we are trying to make art a personal experience. In its purest form, art is communication, and we would like to communicate something about our artists to the readers. Please send a short description of the artwork or of yourself along with your submission. Photographs of the artist are also appreciated. With submissions of poetry or prose, biographical data is best.

Special Submission Information:
Sending more than one submission is always a good idea. For one thing, the more submissions you send, the more chances you have of getting your work on the website.
A: If you have sent your submission through e-mail, you should get a notification that it has been recieved within 42 hours. A notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent soon afterwards.
A: Your e-mail address will only be used to verify that your information is correct, and to send you information regarding the use of your work. Your e-mail address will not be shared or used for any other purpose.
A: If you are the creator of your submission, in most cases you fully own your own work. However, in some cases there may be outstanding third party publishing rights. For example, if your submission was previously in a different publication, there may be specific rules as to how much time must pass before you can publish anywhere else. If you are unsure, you should contact any publications that your submission has been in.
A: Not really, not anymore.
A: Yes, using a pseudonym or a pen name on your work is perfectly fine. Just include the name you would like to appear on your work with your submission. However, we require that you include your real name as well, for our records.
A: Your submission, if accepted, will appear on the website. Art submissions may be used in the art section, or they may appear alongside poetry or prose. We used to do a print magazine, too, but now we are slackers.
